These work instructions cover most internet browsers for properly clearing your browsers history and temporary cache files. by doing this you will have completely refreshed website views for each new site you visit. This is particular handy to know and do when a website is not performing as expected.
Clearing Browser History
Chrome
- Go to the History – Ctrl + H
- Click on Clear browsing data
- On the Basic tab, Time range = All time; and make sure Browsing history, Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files are all checked; on the Advanced tab, uncheck Passwords if you have any stored.
- Click on CLEAR DATA
Internet Explorer
- Select the Tools button, point to Safety, or select the Safety drop-down (depending on what version you have) and then select Delete browsing history
- Uncheck Preserve Favorites website data
- Choose the types of data or files you want to remove from your PC, and then select Delete
Firefox
- Click on the View history, saved bookmarks icon on the top right of Firefox
- Select and click on History
- Select and click on Clear Recent History
- Select Everything, then click on Clear Now
Safari
- Go to the Menu Bar, click on History, then Clear History …
- Click on Clear
Opera
- Go to the History, Ctrl + Shift + Del; or click on Menu, History, Clear browsing data
- Select the beginning of time
- Uncheck Passwords
- Click on Clear browsing data
